PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

SWOG and the Hymove bus

The Hymove project is an initiative by the Province of Gelderland, the Arnhem-Nijmegen Urban Region and the Municipality of Arnhem. It has been developed in order to gain practical experience of using hydrogen and to allow the public to become familiar with the new energy source. The project includes the development of a Fuel Cell electric bus, demonstration of hydrogen cars and installing a refueling point for hydrogen at an existing petrol station in Arnhem. The FC Electric bus in this demonstration project will be brought into regular service from 2012. Plans for building a new and bigger Hydrogen refueling station in Arnhem are well underway.

DFC has recently taken the initiative to set up Hymove as a limited company and offer FC electric busses for demonstrations and commercial use in city transportation.

The implementation of the HYmove project has been entrusted to the Stichting Waterstof Onderneming Gelderland (SWOG). DFC is supports SWOG in the commercialization of the concept.
